What a great time. We popped the doors open at Noon, and before we could make an "Open" sign to hang around Lola's neck we had people flowing in the door. Sam and Cheryl from Tennessee River were our first customers, and helped jump start the day. Locals and visitors alike were out enjoying the Oyster Cook Off and swung by to check out what we had done with the place. No major calamities and only minor breakage. (Matt won't be trying his Cocktail juggling again anytime soon, although we may consider the suggestion one guest offered of cat juggling for entertainment!) Thanks to all the locals for showing up, and yes, those 2 for 1 tokens you got at Happy Hour can be used anytime we are open. We will have the doors open full time starting in February, so bring some friends out. Don't forget, Happy Hour is every day, 5-7! The $2 tall boy Rolling Rocks were a hit, and as part of the ABA, (Our Affordable Beer Act) along with Natty Light, and Miller High Life tall boys stay at $2 all day long. Thanks to the Tug Boat pilots for stopping by, spread the word up river that Bowery Station and Lola stand at the ready to serve your needs starting in February! |
