Bowery Station Music Schedule (Sept 26 - 30)

What a way to close last week, as Brian Bowen, Bo Spring and Cat Braaten put on another tremendous show to a standing room only crowd in their tribute to Bonnie Raitt on Sunday... well this coming week sees a collection of serious songwriters lined up... your favorites and ours with a few up and coming stars!

Wednesday, Sept 26 - Open Mic is on from 6-8ish, so tune up the guitar, banjo, spoons or tap shoes and find your way out to the areas best display of local, and developing talent.  All levels of talent are always welcomed and appreciated so long as you bring a smile to the stage.  As always tips for performers go to a charity, and this week they will go towards the Friends of the St. Vincent Island National Wildlife Refuge in lead up to their fundraiser on Sunday, Oct 14!

Thursday, Sept 27 - Christina Christian returns for a show from 6-9pm as we continue to make Thursdays the new Friday.  Christina is a Frequent Flyer at Florabama's and... has the Johnny Barbato seal of approval.  She’s participated in the Frank Brown International Songwriters Festival with Outlaw, Dallas Moore, and longtime collaborator Taylor Craven, bringing her gentle country singer-songwriter style to Louisiana. She’s toured around the U.S., hitting major music cities like Nashville and Chicago, showcasing her authentic talent and thoughtful lyrics in venues such as Horse Pens 40 and the Dothan Opera Theatre.  She’s been featured in the Mississippi Songwriters Festival, the 3rd Street Music Festival, and the Hwy. 80 Songwriters Festival, and shared the stage with Delta Rae and David Nail. Her new album was recorded in the legendary The Storage Room in Perdido Key with Sandy Roots Music Productions.  This is a do not miss show for the Apalach live music enthusiast.

Friday, Sept 28 - It is our distinct pleasure to welcome back singer/songwriters Charlie and Dana Black for a show from 7-10pm.  Composers of a multitude of #1 hits for the likes of George Straight, Alan Jackson, Reba Mcentire, and Anne Murray, Charlie and Dana are professional performers that always put on a dynamic show that commands attention with their well written originals.  It has been a while since we have been able to coordinate schedules with this talented duo, and we are blessed to have them join us for a Friday evening on the BS stage in Apalach.  Charlie and Dana exemplify the truly top level talent that Bowery Station strives to bring to our humble venue and to live music enthusiasts in Apalachicola.  We are blessed to have them grace our stage.

Saturday, Sept 29 - Luke Wilmoth joins us for an afternoon show from 3-5:30.  Luke is an indie rock singer-songwriter hailing from Lakeland, FL. A modern reminiscence of classic Americana, Wilmoth's sound is carefully crafted from driving guitars, and lush vocals.  While being an indie rock songwriter, his talent and ability are highlighted by the fact that he was also the recipient of the Louis Armstrong Jazz Award and 3 time finalist in the Bob Washington Jazz Competition.  Then, what better act for a Saturday night is there than the duo of Cat Braaten and Tom Mason as they join us for a show from 6:30-9:30.  Cat, a proven Apalach favorite that can belt out the tunes with a mix of originals and covers, always gives a lights out performance, but once in a great while she brings along with her Nashville legend Tom Mason.  Tom joins her with intricate guitar riffs, fantastic harmonies, some amazing originals of his own, and on occasion even a trombone!!  Great tunes, and great folks!

Sunday, Sept 30 - Matt Law, a frequent flyer of our favorite music festivals here in Apalach and beyond, comes on out for one of his signature performances from 5-8pm.  Matt can, and does, masterfully play an array of classics while mixing an variety of guitars to take on a style and tonality of his own.  Well known for his depth of genres, Matt shares his knowledge of music history that runs just as deep.  Now that's what Sundays are made for.

Thanks again to those musicians that take the time to grace our stage and join us in creating a music venue for live music enthusiasts.  But thanks to you as well for supporting those musicians and Bowery Station... we couldn't do it without you!!

See you at the show/s!
