Things are still cooking here in Apalachicola, as fall rolls in but the heat is fighting it off.... and add to that piping hot live music ... summer will have it's way for a while...

So how hot is it?  It is soooo hot.... that....

Wednesday, Sept 19 - Open Mic is on from 6-7:30, so tune up the guitar, banjo, spoons or tap shoes and find your way out to the areas best display of local, and developing talent.  All levels of talent are always welcomed and appreciated so long as you bring a smile to the stage.  This evening will offer a small deviation to the normal format as Southern Flood will be wrapping up the evening from 7:30-9ish, introducing their new front man vocalist.  So come on out for a taste of the new Flood.  As always tips for performers go to a charity, and starting this week they will go towards the Friends of the St. Vincent Island National Wildlife Refuge in lead up to their fundraiser on Sunday, Oct 14!

Thursday, Sept 20 - House favorite Sarah Moranville joins us for a show from 6-9pm as we continue to make Thursdays the New Friday.  Sarah, a featured artist in our Chickfest 2018 stole the show with her performance of some of your favorite classics with a notably unique voice that commands attention.  A rising star on the gulf coast, Sarah always has the crowd singing along as she spreads her contagious smile with Apalach music enthusiasts.

Friday, Sept 21 - Watch out kids, as the Frank Jones Band returns to Bowery Station for a Friday Night show from 7-10pm.  Few can deal the guitar cards like Frank, and when backed by some of the most serious talent on the Gulf Coast you can count on a roof raising evening of blues and rock that gets the joint jumpin'.  Notable for his guitar licks, Frank's vocals stand out as well, while every member of the band can take the lead at anytime with an impressively tight synergy.  It's a pleasure to have these guys back on the BS stage, and we're sure they are Jonesin' to put on a do not miss performance!

Saturday, Sept 22 - Tim Moore hits the stage with a solo performance from 3-5:30pm.  We happened to be up at Atlanta's Eddie's Attic and were fortunate enough to catch Tim on stage while there.  We immediately knew that Apalach had to meet Tim Moore.  With exceptionally well written originals, Tim brings that down home feel to his performances while engaging the audience.  We are fortunate to have found a time when he could fit Apalachicola and Bowery Station into his travels so come on out for this afternoon show.  Then, back by popular demand, we are excited to have Wailin' Wolves join us for a Saturday evening from 6:30-9:30pm.  Female lead Britt can steal the show at any moment, but the Wolves behind her put on a hard hitting show of Blues and Rock, mixed with a little old time funk, soul and R&B to make the night complete.  The frequently asked question..."Hey, when you getting the Wolves back?" is answered .... this Saturday night!

Sunday, Sept 23 - It's a Bonnie Raitt tribute... featuring local legends Brian Bowen, Cat Braaten, and Bo Spring!  The fun starts at 5:30pm and runs till 8:30pm.  These three have done incredible shows highlighting both John Prine, and Tom Petty to standing room only crowds.  Well, now here is one for the lady of the trio as they take on the great Bonnie Raitt.  Known also for her covers, it will be interesting to see what this trio comes up with... but one thing will be assured... it will be a fantastic show.  So come on out for this Sunda'sy tribute to a great musician, performed by local greats.

That's a pretty solid week as we approach ApalachOktoberfest 2018!  Things are jumping into the fall.... and they always get better and better.  Thanks again to all the musicians, and live music enthusiasts that continue to make Bowery Station...your home for great live music in Apalachicola!
