This week at Bowery Station, we have lined up a mix of some debuts, and some of your old time favorites.  While we always love getting your favorites in, we also strive to bring new faces and talent because as they say... variety is the spice of life!

What do we have this coming week?  Glad you asked.

Wednesday, Sept 18 - DEBUT ALERT!  Jeff White joins us on the Bowery Station stage for his first show at BS from 6-9pm.  White has been a veritable beach bum since his birth in Florida where he grew up in a small island community. The island experience is imbued in his soul and it is conspicuous in his music. Proficient on bass, guitar, keys, drums and percussion, White credits such influences as Sublime, Bob Marley, Stevie Wonder, Sam Cooke, Jack Johnson, Barrington Levy and Paul Simon. No neophyte to touring, he has delighted audiences with his brand of “acoustic roots soul” in 47 U.S. states, several Central and South American countries and many Caribbean islands including St. Thomas where he is now based.

Thursday, Sept 19 - Bill Pandolfi and Wayne Britt come into town for one of their signature duo performances from 6:30-9:30pm.  Bill and Wayne can cover just about any genre, and both can make their guitars sing as they love getting on stage and sharing their talents.  These two guys have played guitar together since they were kids, and it shows in the way they perform as a duo!

Friday, Sept 20 - The Living Street are back in town to put on a show from 7-10pm!  These guys rocked it out the last couple of winters for packed house shows, joining us from Pittsburgh, PA, as they quickly drew a crowd and held it with their high energy performance.  Compared by the audience to The Currys and The Highbeams, The Living Street have a great sound of their own that commands attention.  They have earned the Shakin' Shannon Seal of Approval!!

Saturday, Sept 21 - Keal Franklin returns to our stage for a day show from 3-5:30pm.  Keal, has played the stage of the The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, and is a prolific songwriter who puts on a show of both new and old themed country and americana while maintaining his own style.  Then, watch out as we have another DEBUT ALERT!  BIG DADDY & RED HOT JAVA is bringing their ministry of music out for their first BS stage performance from 6:30-10pm.  A sizzling brew played somewhere between Big Daddy’s hometown of Chicago and his adopted musical home of New Orleans.  The Chicago Tribune calls Big Daddy & Red Hot Java, “a delicious concoction of caffeine infused Blues!”  HOTBANDS.com says, “Big Daddy & Red Hot Java is fronted by three hundred pounds of heavenly joy and backed by a tight as a gnat’s booty rhythm section.”  World Blues Review exclaims “Big Daddy & Red Hot Java’s patented ministry of booty quakin’ soul shakin’ Blues pierces the very core of your soul and then sends you into a wild voodoo dance.”  WWOZ 90.7 FM, New Orleans’ Jazz & Heritage Station,  broadcasts “Big Daddy & Red Hot Java cooks up a wonderful Worldbeat Blues roux peppered with Soul, Funk, R&B, Jazz and Hip Hop.”  Big Daddy & Red Hot Java has toured across the southeast USA, and overseas fifty-six (56) times to twenty-eight (28) countries delighting audiences all along the way.

And finally, it is with heavy hearts that we must share the news with our Bowery Station friends and family of the passing of Bob Fey.  Bob and his wife Paula have been part of the BS family since our inception nearly six years ago, and they have become well known and loved among locals and visitors alike.  Bob has brought much joy to the essence of what we have tried to create in our sleepy little hamlet of Apalachicola and he will be greatly missed.  We trust he is dancing with his cane in a cool juke joint in heaven, and stirring it up as he always liked to do.  RIP Bob!  Our thoughts and prayers are with Paula and the family.
