Prost!  Here is a weekly music update of biblical proportion.... if you ever wanted to see the best in live music from the Gulf Coast to Nashville in one week....here it is kids!

Let's start the week off with off with...

Wednesday, Oct 4 - BS Open Mic hosted by Matt Gardi is on from 6-8ish.  This weekly event has been a mainstay in local entertainment for years, and has fostered the development of numerous performers as they gain their confidence and stage presence.  All levels of talent are welcomed and appreciated.  As always, tips for performers from BS Open Mic go to charity, during the month of October we will be supporting local Larry McIntosh for sponsorship in BikeMS, a two day ride that raises money for the National MS Society.  BS helping MS.  Larry will be present on some weeks to provide more information about the ride and the cause.

Thursday, Oct 5 - Bowery Station is pleased to welcome back the Nashville duo of Laughlin, however, on this trip they will bring an entire four piece band known as Rebel Union who will own the stage from 6-8:30pm.  Anyone who recalls when these guys played last at BS, word spread around Apalach like wildfire and those that found their way out were treated to some of the best dynamic Nashville talent around.   Rebel Union brings together backgrounds of Americana/Folk and Pop/Rock for a very unique sound and an edgy approach to the country music scene.  BS and Rebel Union...seriously making Thursdays the New Fridays!

Then...ApalachOktoberfest 2017 is on....Bowery Station in conjunction with Oyster City Brewing Company is proud of the lineup of this year's three day event!

It all starts on Friday, Oct 6 at Bowery Station.  Brewmaster Clayton Mathis will pour the first liter of OCBC Lyin' Fish Lager to officially open the festivities at 7pm, as the Jerry Thigpen Trio with special guest Del Suggs kick off the live music!  Commemorative Liter beer mugs will be available for only $15, which can be filled with your choice of either Lyin' Fish Lager or Tates Helles for only $6 all weekend long!  Bratwurst will be grilling late into the evening to benefit the SGI Cat Allies.

Then, Saturday, Oct 7 at Bowery Station the festivities continue...Cat Braaten leads off the day 2 O'clock.  The brats will be simmering on the grill and the OCBC beer will be flowing as also welcome the Apalachicola Chocolate and Coffee Company making up some delicious German chocolate fudge turnovers, and blueberry turnovers during the course of the day. The non-stop music will continue as we welcome Dirty Bird & the Flu from 4-6pm.  We then have a special guest to be announced from 6-7pm, followed up by the Bo Spring Band from 7-10.

Get some sleep, because Sunday is packed with beer and music.

It all moves down to the street in front of OCBC on Sunday, Oct 8.  The day starts with a duo of John Sutton and Brian Bowen, followed by Matt Law and Usual Suspects.  Tatjiana Christensen will then be playing the polka tunes on the squeezebox, followed up by Johnny Barbato and the Lucky Doggs.  The day continues with another duo of Eric Pfuefer and Bill Pandolfi, and ends with a showcase performance (all the way from California) of Pope Paul and the Illegals!!  Plenty of food will be served by the fine folks of the Owl and Tap Room, and of course the beer will be flowing.

Exciting contests will be intermingled with the music, beer and food, along with an excess of frivolity all weekend long!
