Well Seafoodfest went off without a hitch, as it was good to see such vibrancy throughout our fine city of Apalachicola. Big kudos to the event organizers for pulling it off on such short notice! We will do our best to continue the energy and enthusiasm of a community reborn by bringing in some heavy hitters for a week of fantastic live music! It starts with ..... Wednesday, Nov 7 - BS Open Mic rolls from 6-8ish. Matt Gardi hosts and may kick things off early to get in the mood for a great evening, then the real talent...YOU...hits the stage. Come on out and have some fun, sing a song... but simply bring out a smile to the stage and join in the commotion! Thursday, Nov 8 - Booooooooooooo! Boo Radley brings their New 850 Americana show to Apalach for an evening from 6-9pm. Showcasing some of the best original songwriting in the region, Patty and Michael offer up impeccable vocal harmonies backed by Michael's masterful guitar. A BS and Apalach favorite, Boo Radley is a great way to help us continue to make Thursdays the New Fridays, in a venue that was built for Booooooo! Friday, Nov 9 - Frank Jones Band rocks Bowery Station for a Friday Night show from 7-10pm. Frank can burn up a fret board, and when backed by some of the most serious talent on the Gulf Coast you can count on a roof raising evening of blues and rock that gets the joint jumpin'. Notable for his guitar licks, Frank's vocals stand out as well, while every member of the band can take the lead at anytime with an impressively tight synergy. Frank and the boys are just what the doctor ordered for shaking off what ales you, and letting loose. Saturday Nov 10 - Savanna Leigh Bassett is back in the house with one of her upbeat, energetic performances from 3-5:30pm. Joining us from Jacksonville, Savanna is a powerful guitarist that can sing your favorite Country hits mixed in with her own well written originals. Then, Bowery Station welcomes back Two Foot Level for a show from 6:30-9:30pm. Featuring the bassist of Ten Pound Pancake, Todd Beavis, Two Foot Level is a band from Tallahassee, Fl. whose music could be described as a blend of Folk, Bluegrass, Rock, Americana, and Funky goodness. Funky goodness...now That's BS! Sunday, Nov 11 - Then, back by popular demand, Reckless Saints take the stage for a Sunday evening show from 5-8pm. Troubadour Roy Schneider has developed a devoted fan base for his particular flavor of Americana music since 2008, through international radio airplay and consistent touring with life-and-stage partner Kim Mayfield. Playfully dubbed “Blue-Twangled Folk ‘n’ Roll” in a 2014 No Depression interview, Schneider & Mayfield have brought their musical blend of the gritty, fun, soulful and sweet to delighted audiences across the USA and abroad, exploring and expanding their musical horizons with every performance. From ballads and dirges to grooves and hollerin’ rockers, from intimate concerts and clubs to festival stages, this multitalented duo clocks up thousands of miles annually from their home base in Fort Myers, Florida, toting an ever-evolving array of instruments wherever they are needed. With Schneider on guitar (or dobro, mandolin or banjo), harmonica, kick drum and vocals, Mayfield on mandolin (or guitar, ukulele or percussion) and vocals, their sound does not suffer for lack of bandmates. This will be an intimate DO NOT MISS evening with this talented duo! Thanks again to all the folks that have helped us get back on our feet here at Bowery Station, and thanks to all those musicians that continue to help us make Bowery Station... your home for great live music in Apalachicola! See you at the show! |
