Well we hope everyone has survived Seafood Fest in one piece, as it was a fun exciting weekend for the entire town.  This week should be no different with our upcoming Maine Event!!  Also, beyond that, to get ahead of the rumor mills, there are big exciting changes coming to Bowery Station.  It is true we are passing the torch come the new year, but we are excited to bring in some new folks with great energy to keep the magic alive.  While the name may be changing, our incoming team is excited to continue on in the BS tradition, and as they say.... New Tribe... Same Vibe!  Stay tuned in the coming weeks and months as we reveal more details about this fantastic new energy and enthusiasm that will surely be a great asset to our community!

But let's get onto our exciting week of music... giddy up!

Wednesday, Nov 6 - BS Open Mic rolls at 6pm, and we are excited to already have some of our northern half timers returning, and can't wait to see them back on stage.  As many of you know, tips for performers during open mic always go towards a charity, and during the month of November we will be raising money for Patrons of Apalachicola Library Society, Inc. (PALS)!   PALS primary purpose is to assist the Apalachicola Margaret Key Library in promoting literacy to all ages and improving the library's resources.  The funds will stay local, and go towards books, supplies and children's programs... so come on out and get on stage for a great local cause!

Thursday, Nov 7 - Bill Pandolfi and Wayne Britt come into town for one of their signature duo performances from 6-9pm.  Bill and Wayne can cover just about any genre, and both can make their guitars sing as they love getting on stage and sharing their talents.  These two guys have played guitar together since they were kids, and it shows in the way they perform as a duo!

Friday, Nov 8 - The Blue Begonias are back for a show from 7-10pm.  These guys fittingly joined us on 4/20 and the town went nuts.  The Blue Begonias are a Grateful Dead tribute band based in Tallahassee, Florida. Featuring Mickey Abraham (Belle and the Band), Chris Skene (Revival), Brian Durham (the New 76ers), Reo Morris (Fungle Junk, Little Band in the Sky), and David Mendelsohn.  All of these musicians stand tall on their own in terms of talent and performance, it will be an honor to have them join us collectively as the Blue Begonias once again as they pay tribute to the Dead.

Then, get ready for THE MAINE EVENT!!   Yesserie boys and girls, some fine folks from Maine (AKA Mainiacs) have recently permanently located to Apalach and want to put on a shindig and have lined up some fantastic music for some of their visiting friends... and all of us too!

Saturday, Nov 9 - Matt Gardi kicks things off from 2-5pm just to get the ball rolling.  Then, forgotten coast troubadour and songwriting legend Brian Bowen returns to the stage with an all original performance from 5-6pm, Bowen's songs are frequent flyers on Oyster Radio and it is great to have him back in the saddle on stage!  This is followed up by the man, the myth, the legend.... Clayton Mathis from 6:30-10pm.  Mathis has become well known for his songwriting, but mixes in your favorite covers from myriad of genres that please any audience.

Then, check out this Sunday line up...

Sunday, Nov 10 - John Sutton kicks off the day with one of his lights out performances from 1-3pm!  Hailing from Nashville, John always puts on a high energy show of ear catching originals that the locals that know him have come to sing along to.  A masterful guitarist, John's enthusiasm is contagious as he hooks the crowd from the first note every time!  Following Sutton, ladies and gentlemen, we are pleased to have back on the BS stage...  The Krickets!!  That's right these three astounding ladies just had a blow out show at this year's ApalachOktoberfest and will be joining us here at Bowery Station in a more intimate setting with a show from 3-5pm.  We expect this to be a standing room only show, so get in the house early.  The Krickets are a female Americana group from the gulf coast who's music is what Paste Magazine called a "a truly stunning, one-of-a-kind sound."   IMA Folk Song of the Year winner for their single "Cool Cool Water,"  The Krickets released their first album "Spanish Moss Sirens" in May of 2016.  Produced by Ben Tanner of the Alabama Shakes and recorded in Muscle Shoals, the album debuted at #1 on Amazon's ‘Best Sellers’, ‘Movers and Shakers’ and ‘Modern Folk’ charts.   Blending country, bluegrass, folk and Americana has allowed them to play for a diverse audience since then from Nashville's famous SPBGMA Bluegrass convention to the indie folk lovers at SXSW.   But it's still not over yet....  The Bo Spring Band takes over on a Sunday evening from 5-8pm!    Bo always puts on a high energy show of originals and your favorite covers, so this will be a great way to wrap up The Maine Event!!!

Thanks again to all of you that continue to support our efforts to bring to you the best live music in Apalachicola, and again stay tuned for future updates about the transition of Bowery Station into the New Year!!!
