What a blast was had by all at Chickfest 2016 as we raised over $1500 for the Cricket Fund.  Thanks to everyone's generosity, and thanks to all the musicians that participated.  May saw the kick off of our $1000 gig contest, whereby musicians wrote songs and posted videos and are now collecting votes.  The highest vote recipient at the end of May wins a $1000 gig on June 18th.  You can view the videos, and vote here. 

Now let's talk music for the coming week.....

Sunday, May 8th - Featured player at Chickfest, Melissa Bowman is back for a solo extended gig from 2-6pm for our Sunday Matinee Music.  Oh, yeah.

Monday, May 9th - Ashley Feller returns to Bowery Station from 6-8pm.  Another fantastic female vocalist, Ashley always puts on a fun, light hearted show that everyone enjoys.

Tuesday, May 10th - Lee Payton takes the BS stage from 6-8pm.  One of our video entrants and a Dead enthusiast, Lee brings personality to every performance.

Wednesday, May 11th - Open Mic hosted by Matt Gardi rolls from 6-8pm, followed by Open Jam from 8-9pm.  All performers tips for the month of May go towards the Supporters of the St. Vincent Island National Wildlife Reserve!

Thursday, May 12th - Debut Alert!  Welcome Ellen Mershon all the way from Cincinnati, Ohio, who plays from 6-8pm.  Ellen puts on a passionate show of American Roots music, including some great originals. 

Friday, May 13th - Taking on the spell of a Friday the 13th at BS is the Bo Spring Band from 6-9:30pm.  They made us "Wait a While" so we look forward to this hoppin' Friday night!  

Saturday, May 14th - It's MAD, Music All Day!  Dothan's Dave Dale hits it from 2-5pm, followed up by a debut of Red Hills Rhythm & Blues from 6-9:30pm.  Dave always involves the crowd in his acoustic shows, and Red Hills will keep 'em hoppin' into the warm summer evening.

Looking ahead to Sunday, May 15th, another video entrant in the $1000 gig contest is joining us from 2-6pm, Sweet Honey Hospitality!!!  Don't forget to review all the videos and vote for your favorite!
