Thanks to all the ladies that came out and shared their incredible talents at Chickfest 2018, making it a fantastic event for our community to enjoy.  Folks are already talking about next year's event.  As we always say...stay tuned... it only gets better!

So what do we have in store for this week...let's take a peek under the hood.

Wednesday, May 16 - Spotlight on the Mic starts at 5:30 with the Real Rob.  This new feature to lead us into Open Mic is a new feature that lets us introduce a band or artist for a one set show.  Rob is a Jazz, Blues and Folk musician currently based out of New Orleans.  He'll be playing till about 6:15, leading us into Open Mic which will continue till 8ish ...as we like to say.  All levels of talent are welcomed and appreciated, so come on out and bring a smile to the stage and have some fun.

Thursday, May 17 - Hot Damn Duo joins us for their debut from 6-8:30pm!  Making Thursdays the New Fridays,  "Hot Damn" is the duo act of husband and wife team, Norm and Debbie Pelletier with the true sound of a full band. As dedicated musicians playing over 200 gigs a year, you can expect a professional, fun and talent filled show.  Norm plays a smoking lead guitar and Debbie plays a zeta standup bass. Both are vocalists complimenting each other with harmonies. They boast a repertoire of over 1,000 songs.  You will hear country music from today's Top 40 to country songs made famous as far back as 40 years ago; you can also expect to hear songs ranging from the 50's, 60's and 70's classic rock. Great to catch Hot Damn Duo on their travels through to Nashville.

Friday, May 18 - Bruce Graybeal returns for an afternoon show from 3-5:30pm.  Bruce brings his trademark smile, a twelve string and a fun set list sure to please just about any crowd.  It's been a while since Bruce has made the trip to Apalach, so we expect a fun Friday afternoon!  Then, just when you thought it couldn't get any better, Southern Flood rolls into Bowery Station for a hard hitting jam session of Rock N Roll from 7-10pm.  When Hobson and the boys get it wound up, it is on!  The best of good old roots rock and roll, and an ever expanding set list that gets you up and dancing, Southern Flood deals the goods on a Friday night!

Saturday, May 19 - Just off her stint at Chickfest, Savanna Leigh Bassett returns for a full show from 3-5pm.  If you missed her at Chickfest, you more than likely heard about her dynamic performance that had a packed house cheering.  With a mix of Country, and contemporary classics, Savanna pushes her energy into her well played guitar and powerful vocals.... and who better to open for .... The Bo Spring Band!  That's right, Bo is back from 6:30-9:30 for one of his hold your hat on, face melting shows that some have been compared to the old days at Toad's Place, or CBGBs.  Well, it's Bo Spring at Bowery Station... and That's a double pile of BS!

Sunday, May 20 - Matt Law returns for a great Sunday afternoon from 4-8pm.  Matt, a talented guitarist, who does it all from slide, to blues, rock and a mix of old classics, takes you on a journey through the years and genres, and has some well written originals as well.  Few can make Sunday afternoons happen like Matt, so come on out and enjoy this diverse performer as he brings sunshine to a Sunday in Apalach!  Frequently joined by local bassist Marc Grove, you can always expect a special show with Matt Law.

Don't hurt yourself getting to every show, walk slow and deliberately, but make it out to some of the best live music in this part of the country.  Again, thanks to those of you that support Bowery Station, and the musicians that grace our stage.  Thanks as well to those musicians that put in all the work and effort to hone their skills so that they can provide such great tunes on the BS stage!
