March has really shaped up to be an exciting month as we roll out of St. Patrick's day after a great show with Rick Finneran and Celtic on the Halfshell... but this upcoming week has even more surprises.  It features some of your favorites as well as some debuts of great new talent, and an appearance by the nationally known... SAUCE BOSS!  Now that is truly some March Madness!

Here is how the brackets of live music shape up for the week....

Wednesday, March 20 -  Matt Gardi hosts as BS Open Mic rolls from 5-8ish.  Please note the 5pm start time, as last week we had so many interested performers that we ran Open Mic till 10ish to get them all on stage.  Fear not, we will start a little earlier this week, so if you want to show up and play after 5pm, our host is ready to accommodate you!  As always tips for our Open Mic performers go to support local charities, this week we are raising funds for the Friends of the St. Vincent Island National Wildlife Refuge, in anticipation of our fundraiser scheduled on Sunday, April 28, a Jimmy Buffett Tribute featuring Sticky Too!

Thursday, March 21 - Glen Danles debuts for a full set from 3-5:30pm.  Glen brings his deep voice, powerful guitar and country and americana set list to the stage for a fun afternoon.  Then, speaking of Sticky Too.... Tim and Jay roll into the station to continue to make Thursdays the New Fridays for a show from 6-9pm.  Sticky Too put on a show of your favorite rock, southern rock, americana and a little trop and country as two of the Gulf Coasts most talented guitarists trade licks and harmonize like few other duos can.  These guys capture the audience from start to finish which is always the perfect recipe for a Thursday evening in Apalach.

Friday, March 22 - Get a little Salt in your blood as Brian Bowen joins us for an afternoon show from 3-6pm.  BB is a performer that brings life in these parts to life with his originals, and hooks the audience with favorite covers that all wrap up into a fun afternoon of salty goodness!  Then, what better way to continue into the evening than with a powerful female vocalist that can get the joint up and dancing in the form of Garnet & Soul for a show from 7-10pm.  From smooth and sultry, to jazzy and funky, Mary Ann leads the band on a high energy show that captivates the crowd.  With an incredible voice, backed by horns, keys and guitar, it is going to be a great Friday evening with Garnet & Soul.

Saturday, March 23 - This is a very special day for Bowery Station and Apalachicola as the world famous Sauce Boss rolls into town.  Dothan's Dave Dale opens up the day from 3-5:30pm with one of his fun energetic shows of your favorite covers and spicy originals.  Then, get your Gumbo on as renowned bluesman Bill Wharton, the Sauce Boss, joins us for an evening of hot cooking blues and gumbo starting at 6:45, the Sauce Boss incorporates actually cooking delicious gumbo on stage while he performs his swamp funk and blues that he is so well known for.  This will not only be a great musical performance, a CD release party and book signing, but will be a feast for a hundred hungry gumbo lovers.  PLEASE NOTE:  As always, there is not a cover for this national act, doors open at 2pm.  If you would like a seat, it is advisable to arrive early, and large swaths of seating can not be held unless a butt is in them.  No outside beverages or containers will be allowed.  We appreciate your consideration and support in our attempts to bring this level of talent to Apalachicola free of charge.  We appreciate our friends at the Chowder House for their support and assistance for this show.

Sunday, March 24 - Debut Alert!  Britt Dignan joins us for a show from 5-8.  Another national performer, Nashville, TN based Americana Singer-Songwriter Britt Dignan has the ability to capture your heart with his talent for writing meaningful lyrics placed smoothly over his slick Acoustic melodies and impromptu jams. He paints a picture with his folky story telling, soulful rooted voice and extraordinary stage presence, placed a top a high energized passion and love for music!  Roots Rock at its finest!  Again, grab a seat early!!

Thanks again for your support of our efforts to bring you the best in live music to our humble little venue.  Without your support, it could not be possible.
