Bowery Station Music Schedule (June 7-11)

posted Jun 5, 2017, 9:26 AM by Matt Gardi
Things have been sliding later in the summers at Bowery Station, especially on Fridays and Saturdays....hey, when the bands get rolling, who is gonna step in front of that train....ie Frank Jones Friday...Ten Pound Pancake's Saturday night jamboree....what a weekend that was!!

So, let's hop right back on that broncin' bull...here we go....

Wednesday, June 7 - Jeffrey Thomas is ready to rock for a solo show from 3-5pm with his hard hitting rock and southern rock, then Open Mic hosted by Matt Gardi is on from 6-8ish.  All performer tips from Open Mic during the month of June will go to benefit the SGI Cat Allies.  All levels of talent welcomed and appreciated, so, come on out and sing a song, tell a joke, or do a dance...just bring a smile!

Thursday, June 8 - A voice made for Country, LD Hatfield hooks us up with his vibe from 3-5pm with great originals and solid covers for a show that never disappoints, then we welcome the debut of another Country performer ...Shawn Byrne from 6-8:30pm.  Shawn is a Nashville, TN based singer/songwriter originally from Portland, CT.  He's spent the past few years touring as a guitarist with major label country acts like Rodney Atkins, Mark Collie, Kelleigh Bannen, & James Otto, but has recently gotten back on the road promoting his own music. He routinely plays around the Nashville area & has played at a variety of coastal locations over the years such as the 30A Songwriters Festival, The Listening Room in Mobile, Alabama, and just last fall he was a finalist in the Gulf Coast Songwriter Shootout in Gulf Shores, Alabama.  Yeah, we're making Thursdays the new Fridays.

Friday, June 9 - Genna and Jesse debut on the BS stage from 3-5pm. This duo's performances are tailored towards an intimate audience, demanding attention through intrigue rather than volume. Routine and monotony are challenges not faced by this pair, or by their music as each song comes from a different place, both musically and lyrically.  Then, the Bo Spring Band is ready, willing and able to light up your Friday night as only this gang can do from 7-10pm.  From some of the most well written originals to high energy covers...you know it's always a night to remember!

Saturday, June 10 - Lucky Mud returns for a Saturday afternoon of country, americana, and originals that make you tune in from 2:30-5pm.  Then, get your dancing feet in shape for another go round with the Jerry Thigpen Trio from 6:30-9:30pm.  Last time these cats were on the BS stage they lit it up big time in true BS fashion, so be prepared for a great night of rock n' roll and blues delivered by some of the most talented musicians on the Gulf Coast!

Sunday, June 11 - Dothan's Dave Dale is back from 4-8pm.  It's been a while since Dave has cut loose at Bowery Station, and what better way than to have him wrap up a weekend of live music on a Sunday afternoon.  Dave puts on a show that involves the crowd and has any generation singing along.  Mix up some country, rock, a little blues and a heck of a nice guy that loves to play...it's a Dave Dale Sunday!

Now that's another week of the best live music at Bowery Station...often imitated...never duplicated.
