Summer is clearly upon us as we move into June with our summer hours, Wed thru Friday 5-10pm, and Saturdays Noon till 10pm! As always we have live music planned every day we are open.... including Wednesdays in the summer! Wednesday, June 5 - Thousand Dollar Hen joins us for a show from 7-10pm. Thousand Dollar Hen is comprised of talents from local singer/songwriter Ashley Chandler, guitarist Christopher Stahl (of Quitman, GA) and the musical stylings of guitarist Sean Everett (of Mobile, AL). Based out of Tallahassee, FL, this group gravitates toward expressive harmonies and meaningful lyricism. They cover a variety of songs and their original music is inspired by life experiences and is influenced by the works of artists such as the Civil Wars, Wild Rivers and Mandolin Orange. Thursday, June 6 - Somebody say... "Awwww Sh**!" as coastal legend Johnny Barbato returns to Bowery Station for one of his signature shows from 7-10pm. Barbato has been building the live music scene from New Orleans to Mobile to tiny little Apalach for decades, and lays down an intimate but hard hitting blues, rock and americana performance of originals and your favorite covers in his own style that no one else can match. Friday, June 7 - Mary Ann Hoffman returns for another lights out performance with her band Garnet & Soul from 7-10pm. With powerful energy, Garnet & Soul always creates a musician centric environment that captivates the audience and gets the joint jumping. There was a reason we had Mary Ann and the boys put on a show for this past New Year's eve and we always enjoy when we get them on our stage! Saturday, June 8 - Here is a fun day, with three acts, made possible by our new summer hours! First, Savanna Leigh Bassett kicks off the day from 2-4pm. Savanna, another frequent flying female to grace our stage, puts on a high energy show of contemporary, and pop country with a helping of well composed originals. Then, long overdue to get back on the BS stage, Sweet Honey Hospitality joins us from Dothan for a gig from 4:30-6:30pm. A house favorite, this duo of Mike and Malinda bring a show of Americana with a taste of country and folk as they harmonize like few others can do. Then, back by popular demand, the ladies of Adventures of Annabelle Lyn join us for an evening show from 7-10pm! Taking folk and americana to a new level through impeccable vocal harmonies, coupled with fiddle, guitar, mandolin, banjo and stand up bass... the Adventures captivate an audience for the duration of their performances, and we look forward to this one on a Saturday night! Sunday....heh, heh, heh... sorry we're closed.... new summer hours! Wed-Fri 5pm-10pm, Saturday, Noon till 10pm. See you on the beach! |
