Bowery Station Music Schedule (July 3 -7)

posted Jul 1, 2018, 6:28 AM by Matt Gardi
This week is a little mix up of our days open, so folks and fans, pots and pans...look closely to plan for your favorite shows...

First, we celebrate Independence Day on July 3rd in Apalachicola... so to that end... Bowery Station is pleased to present this Tuesday (Yup, Open this TUESDAY!)....

Tuesday, July 3 - Melissa Bowman kicks off the day from 2:30-4:30 with one of her signature energetic performances.  This firecracker of a female vocalist can belt it out, while backin' it with boot stompin' and serious rhythmic guitar... when Melissa hits the stage.. it's on!  Then, who better to celebrate American Independence with than Sticky Too as they join us from 5-8:30 right on up to the fireworks!  Tim and Jay harmonize like the best of 'em, and back it with intricate lead and rhythm guitar through a set list of good old rock and roll, americana, blues and oldies.  These guys love playing and get the crowd jumping every time they step on the stage... now that's a great day and way to celebrate freedom!

Wednesday, July 4th - CLOSED for the 4th.  Cook up some burgers with the buds and raise an icy cold OCBC (You can get 'em in cans at the brewery now!) around the grill!  See ya next week for Open Mic once again.

Thursday, July 5 - Shaw Davis and the Black Ties return to Apalachicola for a roof raising show from 6-8:30pm.  An artist quickly becoming a legend in the southeast, Shaw lit up the town a few months back with a spectacular performance that had even Ellis Seawright suggesting Shaw was the best guitar player he had ever seen.  Rock and Blues Muse has this to say.... "Dynamism, precision, and outright fury. It’s like a three-pronged sonic offensive – the guitar pierces, the bass rattles, and the drums batter. For fans of the heavier end of blues rock, it’s a beating your eardrums will gladly take."  (Take note: Shaw is not a listening room type of show.)  They have opened for and shared the stage with some of the nations and South Florida’s most respected blues-rock artists such as Albert Castiglia, Matt Schofield, GE Smith, JP Soars, and Mike Zito.  Throughout their shows, the band plays a high-energy mix of originals as well as renditions of covers from some of their greatest influences like Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Cream, and many other blues-rock giants.  This defines making Thursdays the New Fridays!

Friday, July 6 - Garnet and Soul are back for a soulful show from 7-10pm.  Mary Ann and the boys put on a show that ranges from old time classics to contemporary hits, showcasing one of the most dynamic female vocalists in the region.  Backed by horns, keys, and masterful percussion, Mary Ann always captivates the audience, and will have them singing along and dancing by the end of the evening.  It's the perfect fit for a Friday night in Apalachicola!

Saturday July 7 - Savanna Leigh Bassett is back in the house with one of her upbeat, energetic performances from 3-5:30pm.  Joining us from Jacksonville, Savanna is a powerful guitarist that can sing your favorite Country hits mixed in with her own well written originals.  Then, the South Munroe Band featuring Bill Pandolfi returns for a show from 6:30-9:30pm.  Bill and the boys take you on a trip from country through the blues with a side helping of sounds of the south, in a style that has every generation tune in to the show.  Some of the most talented musicians in one place....this will be a fun Saturday night.

Now that's a fun week, again please take note that we will be OPEN Tuesday the 3rd, and CLOSED Wednesday July 4th.

And again, thank you to everyone that comes on in and supports our efforts to provide Apalachicola with a variety of top talent for your listening enjoyment!

Also, plan ahead for this years ApalachOktoberfest 2018 on Oct 5, 6 and 7th.  In conjunction with our friends at Oyster City Brewing Company, we are proud to present a fantastic line up during this three day event which includes: The Mulligan Brothers, The Currys, Clayton Mathis, Shaw Davis and the Black Ties, Boo Radley, Sticky Too, The Bo Spring Band, Matt Law & the Usual Suspects, Johnny Barbato, The TurkeyBasters, and Ten Pound Pancake!  Stay tuned for more details, and don't forget you can always find out who is playing at!
