Bowery Station Music Schedule (Dec 7th - 11th)

posted Dec 5, 2016, 12:15 PM by Matt Gardi
Just when you thought it was safe to curl up on the couch and settle in for a long winters hibernation......Bowery Station brings you another great week of live music.

Let's see what's under the hood.....

Wednesday, Dec 7 - Open Mic hosted by Matt Gardi rolls from 6-8ish.  All levels of talent are welcomed and appreciated.  Tips generated go to benefit the Apalachicola Volunteer Fire Department as we lead into January's Oyster Cook-Off.  Last week we raised $100, and we are setting the lofty goal of $1000 by the Cook-Off.  Thanks to all the musicians and patrons that make this happen.

Thursday, Dec 8 - Frank Lindamood will be playing all the oldtime songs from 6-8:30pm.  Singing songs that tell stories, with a resounding resonator....Frank always puts on a great show with a wry sense of humor.

Friday, Dec 9 - Roy Schneider & Kim Mayfield debut at Bowery Station from 6-9pm.  Singer-songwriters in the grandest tradition of Steve Earle, Lucinda Williams, Guy Clark, and Lyle Lovett. Together, the result is like a vibrant jubilee singing out on the banks of the Mississippi River. Their gift for blending Southern-influenced folk, blues, country, and rock into a seamless genre with their own signature sound demonstrates their connection to the best in the tradition of fine wake-me-up and kick-me-in-the-ass roots music.  Do Not Miss This Show!

Saturday, Dec 10 - Music All Day starts out with Abby Iggy from 3-5pm, followed up by the Common Taters from 6-9pm.  Abby's unique style and vibrant stage presence is a great warm up for the Taters, who always surprise you with a few turnups.  These guys really put a groove on the joint when we first reopened last month, so we expect a great show.

Sunday, Dec 11 - Slim Fatz 5-8pm.  Does much more need to be said....its always great time when Slim slides his bluesy self into the Bowery Station!  He is what Sundays were built for.

So throw off the winter duldrums and scoot your way on down to Bowery Station....the original.....bar in the Bowery!
